Exhaust Pipe

Current building standards require that exhaust vents to discharge to the exterior of a home. In our market they commonly discharge to the attic space. While we do not consider the attic space to be the exterior, we have never found this condition to have a negative effect on a home in our area. In northern (much colder) climates, the moisture discharged by these vents commonly promote mold growth and rot in wood products.
