Stained Doors without Finish



This door shows the dramatic effects of not being properly sealed.  This door is on a 5 year old home. 

The front door is in need of additional coats of protective finish.  Stained doors of this type need periodic maintenance.  To properly protect the wood and finish they should be sanded and additional coats of finish applied every few years.  It should be verified that the top and bottom edges are also sealed.  These type doors often warp when these edges are left unsealed.  It is now time to do this.  I recommend it be sanded, stained and five coats of sealer applied.
